Doc recommends that I take the shingles vax, Shingrix.

Its a two dose shot about 2-3 months apart.

I'm a middle 50s male. I have heard horror stories about shingles. I have heard it is a living hell.

A work associates in-laws just took the shot and he said it hit them good for a couple of days.

I have my doubts about the Shingrix vax since the Plandemic clot-shots.

I am leaning to take the shingles vax.

What say the OT medical experts?

TIA

I'm pretty sure the shingles vaccine has a pretty high effectiveness at preventing shingles and if you develop it, it'll be far more mild than without. It can be a little rough when administered but IMO it still beats getting a full on shingles case.

Vaccines turn you into gay Taylor swift fans.

I hear you get a complimentary 87 KC jersey with your jab.

Get it. You don't want shingles. I don't thing the shingles vax has the issues associated with the rushed thru Covid shots. Big reward for little risk, so well worth it.

Im 57 and just got the shots last year.
Take Ibuprofen before you get the shots. I didn't do that before the first shot and I felt achy and off for about a day. Took the ibuprofen before the second shot and I didn't feel as bad as I had with the first one.

My mother used to get Shingles really bad. I take after my mother big time. I took the shots. I knew Shingles was in my future.

1st: Took it on Thursday. Felt real bad Friday, but made it to work. Started coming around on Saturday.

2nd: Took it on Friday expecting to feel bad the next day. Nurses tell me everyone takes the 2nd on Friday, because they know what is coming. Barely made it through work that Friday. Spent all day Sat and Sun in the bed. Had to drag into work on Monday.

Swore I would never take another vaccine. Covid came around and I told them to stick that Covid jab up their own arse,

Brother takes the Shingles vaccine shots. Has no side affects.

Just know that the Shingles shots are a very strong vaccine.

Best I can tell is no. It's manufactured by GSK(GlaxoSmithKline),

BTW, Doc also recommended the RSV shot. I am a lot more skeptical on the RSV shot. Still thinking I am going to pass on that one.

Again, what say the OT medical pros on the RSV shot?

TIA

I never had the chicken pox as a youth despite my mom making me go to every kids house during summer that caught chicken pox just to get it over with. So I say I never had chicken pox, but what is probably more accurate is
to say I never was symptomatic with chicken pox.

As such, I told my Dr that I never had chicken pox, so I didn't need the shingles vaccine.

then I caught some shingles.

do yourself a favor. if you only get 1 vaccine the rest of your life, get the shingles vaccine.

Most doctors push whatever their overlords tell them to and are more worried about treating symptoms than curing ailments. Your trust is very misplaced.

Had chicken pox as a kid

Got a mild (but still painful) case of shingles on my back/side
Treated with steroid cream if I recall.

Got the two dose shingle shot 3 or 4 yrs ago.
Side effects mild

Get the shots

What does Alex Jones say about it? I’d follow his wisdom.
