No issues after 1st shot. Felt a little bad for about 24 hours after 2nd shot. Shingles is no joke....I'm not a vax guy as far as Covid, but I'd get this one.

I hear this more and more.
used to be you could only get it once in your life and it only lasted about a decade so doctors usually had you wait so you did maybe 65 -75 or 70 - 80. I ink now you can get it more than once and it does seem like folks are getting it younger than normal.

I got it, pre-covid (so I don't want to hear any shite).
The second shot whooped my arse honestly.
Same for a female friend of mine...

I need to get it. I had chicken pox as a kid, like most of us my age (over 50) and I’ve seen what my MIL went though with shingles and it doesn’t look like something I want to experience.

Can’t wait for the play by play when you get shingles. The stories you tell will be pretty awesome.
This must've really bothered you, huh? Or let's keep this thing going?

Got both shots. First made me feel like shite for 24 hours, then back to normal. Second nothing. Shingles is bad shite.

I had shingles May '22 in TM nerve. (face and scalp) , recognized the symptoms early and got on antivirals ASAP so I think that mitigated the lesions. most people probably didn't notice them on my scalp. none on face.
however, the virus attacked my eye on that side (corneal dendrites etc) and I'm still taking steroid drops and Acyclovir daily to keep it from flaring up. I've since had both the shots. both hurt like a sonofagun and I had some fever with the first one. pretty much laid me out for the entire weekend.

First shot I had a sore arm for a day. Just got second shot 4 days ago and it kicked my arse. Still not feeling right. I do have auto-immune issues so that may have played a part. Also, when you get the shot be sure they make the jab I the middle of the deltoid muscle. To high up and you can have nevre issues, see SIRVA.

No, but I got shingles back in 2020, and that shite was miserable.

Had both. Neither made me feel bad except for pretty sore at injection site for a couple days.

No but I had a mild case of shingles when I turned 40. Got on anti-virals same day as the initial breakout so it stayed mild but it was still horrible.

I'd like to see your reaction to actually getting shingles. Because it hurts/burns like a mother fricker.
yeah shingles fricking sucks.

Arm hurts like a bitch for 2 days
This was the main takeaway for me.

I got it after my wife got shingles. She was miserable.
The only issue I had was soreness at injection site for a couple of days. Maybe a little worse than a tetanus shot.

Zero symptoms, either shot. Per 2 friends, get shingles on either the face or crotch area & you'll pray for "flu-like symptoms".
Try in your inner ear canal. I went to the hospital thinking I had head trauma so severe that it caused complete short-term memory loss. And they believed it, and misdiagnosed me. Three days later an ear, nose and throat specialist finally figured out I had shingles in my ear canal.

I took the one that was not effective many years ago and then a few years ago before Covid was dreamed up I got the Shingrix one that is 2 doses.
I had no reactions with them.
Edited to add that I don't and didn't get any covid shots or flu shots any more since I trust the Fed agencies about as far as I can throw my house.

I had a shingles shot last year and it wasn't bad at all.
Today I learned that I should have had a second dose. My doctors didn't tell me I needed two doses. Thank you OT, y'all are way more informative than Ochsner...
