I wish I could shave with a straight razor or safety razor, but I shake too much.

Can anyone tell me why someone needs a really close shave? In an hour or so you will just have some stubble again. Never understood the need to shave that well.
I shave with a bar of soap in the shower. Takes less than one minute.
