I think that is the long play for St George.

She will easily win. If the "election" is close, there will surely be a midnight vote dump that will put her over the top.

RIP BR.

The only way she loses is if it becomes illegal to provide random transportation to polls, food or other incentives for voting and tax exempt churches and organizations cannot endorse or support ANY candidates

She also wins because the business community supports her. Not sure why. And because no one viable has run against her. Matt Watson slammed her in the debate I witnessed, but still whiffed at some simple questions asked of him. He knows a lot about policy but had no vision he could elaborate on. He would have won with REAL support and mentoring. Makes you wonder how many people he may have pissed off or what was going on behind the scenes.

I think Tara Wicker had the “It” factor to beat Broome at the time. Probably not any factor now.

Cleve Dunn will run eventually, but not now.

The question I have is whether or not the Downtown crowd who bankrolled her is fed up of not. It will be interesting to see if they are.

I know the Saints and the Pelicans can relocate. Can we move LSU to a safer city?

That’s the best part. Completely useless, horrible leader, divisive, corrupt, dumb. Yep that’s our gal, in a landslide.

You pretty much described her voters so "one of us" is probably what they think about her

Does St George really matter from a crime standpoint when you are neighbors anyway
It's not gonna stop the crime from spilling over

Perhaps not initially, but it would eventually if the community demanded such. You have communities all within a stones throw of high crime cities like Jackson, MS, Birmingham, AL, Memphis, TN, Houston, TX, etc that have significantly lower crime rates.
