The city will continue to burn under her watch. Cops will continue to leave under the racist SWB and MP administration, crime will continue to spiral out of control. Same old shite, different day.

And probably win. BR is screwed.

But then you know Gravy is gonna show up once SWB is done. This has to be the most laughable capital city in the nation.

East Baton Rouge Parish is 45% black.

I'm not sure what people are expecting at this point. And guess what, whoever the next mayor is will be even worse. Hopefully not another black woman though.

Yeah, that ship has sailed. The best BR can hope for is a moderate Dem

Convince Kip to run again. Someone needs to offer him a lifetime supply of Bud Heavy if he wins.

Does St George really matter from a crime standpoint when you are neighbors anyway
It's not gonna stop the crime from spilling over

An independent and relatively conservative white male won the Mayoral election in predominantly black Monroe, LA. Don’t tell me there is no hope for EBR Parish with a much larger conservative Dem/Rep base.

A viable candidate who gains some of Broomes detractors within her community can win.. you can’t put forth older white men and expect to beat her though

I wonder if Tara Wicker addressed her tax issues that disqualified her from the last election.

Why not run indefinitely? The same yokels will keep putting her back in.

in 1995 the citizens of the parish voted to limit both the Mayor-President and members of the Metropolitan Council to three consecutive terms of office.

So she would have to take a term off between.

There’s a handful of worse ones, but BR definitely isn’t in an enviable spot on that ranking.

The only way she loses is if it becomes illegal to provide random transportation to polls, food or other incentives for voting and tax exempt churches and organizations cannot endorse or support ANY candidates.

She would be easily beatable. What people don't realize is that yall think all the criminals are the ones who vote her into office, yall think criminals vote? No. There are a lot of people who people assume vote for her.. Who really don't give a frick enough to go vote.

Looking at her election results tells me this. White liberals and people who complain, but don't get out and go vote is the reason she wins.

If a middle of the road candidate who would address the issues, can gain people's confidence and attack everything that has gotten worse under SWB, they would win.

They have to make people feel like if they get elected change for the better is coming. When people feel like the results of an election will have an impact on them, more people go vote.

The mayor's race will have a lot of voters because its the same year as presidential elections so more people go out and vote, but then if it goes into a runoff, the percentage of voters who go vote drops off a lot. I want to say last BR mayor's race, there were 60 something percent of the registered voters voted.. The runoff was something like 37%.

That seat is there for the taking. The right person just has to run. Not clowns like E. Eric Guirard.
