Ah, the old ‘I work too hard’ answer .. if anyone still uses that, then they dont deserve whatever job theyre interviewing for .
If we’re being truthful, the honest answer for me would be Patience, or lack thereof.. i tend to be extremely impatient with slow performers, and with myself.. but ive been working on it for like the last 20 years .

Begging for a job is trashy.

Agreed… but what does that have to do with answering questions in an interview ?

It's a tough question because if you spin it as a positive then you appear disingenuous and if you're completely honest then you're literally telling them something bad about yourself.

In hindsight I wish I would have. First job interview after college. Didn’t know any better. Insurance sales and it was awful. The sales manager for the agent I worked for would come in and try to motivate us by playing Alec Baldwin and wolf of Wall Street videos. It was weird as heck.

At end of interview, I always ask what they think the biggest challenges will be that I will face. The next day I send an email thanking them and a plan for the challenges. 60% of the time it works every time…

“Why are you looking to leave your current job?”
It’s amazing how much you can find out about someone’s character by their answer to this question.

The worst question I was ever asked at a job interview was about my college transcripts.
I went through a first interview, had a nice conversation, and upon leaving was asked to send over my transcripts. Keep in mind this is a decade after I graduated. I thought it was just to verify my degree so I thought nothing of it. Calls for a second interview, go in, and first question out the gate is about some class I took 14 years ago.
What. The. frick. I answered as best as I could, finished the interview, and left. Got a call back for an offer, which I declined. Recruiter called me and tried to hype it up, told him to let the guy know if my 10 years of experience and references aren’t important as what I made in a stupid class when I was 19, then I really don’t want to be working there.

I was needing some income pretty bad and was going around to restaurants to find some work. I was having zero luck and had become incredibly frustrated as no where was hiring. Went to a BBQ Joint here locally, Jim and Nicks.
The manager asked me where I saw myself in 10 years with Jim n Nicks - to which I responded "Hopefully as a fricking customer"
I did not get the job there.

Not a bad question, but I interviewed for a summer clerkship in law school and got a rejection letter from them in the mail soon enough where it was sent before I had the interview
Did you sue them for racial discrimination?

BASF asked me "how many ping pong balls do you believe to be in the state of Michigan and explain your reasoning."

when checking references I ask "would you hire them back?"...

I interviewed for a PM job and the owner of the company was an elderly man. I’m not an overly religious person but all he wanted to know was my thoughts on Jesus and grilled me about my faith. I didn’t know how to answer most of it. It’s a big no no to ask these things but took it with a grain of salt. I turned the job down.
