We have a bald eagle that flies around the neighborhood. It was busy harassing the ducks earlier today. Nature can be scary and beautiful at the same time.

I have 3 out of 3 successful, hard working, sweet, loving & caring kids. Who all get along wonderfully. My wife & I say all the time we hit the jackpot.

I’m marrying a guy in October that I’m absolutely over the moon for and couldn’t be happier in my life in general.

My wife and I went to walk the dog at a nearby park about 8:30 PM last night. We waited until the temperatures dropped some. We moved here last year and live in a great area with parks everywhere. I realized even more how great this area is last night. There were lots of high school age kids at the park. They were all hanging out playing pickle ball and tennis, jogging or just talking. They were all clean cut looking, no one was over weight, no one was on their phones, no one was smoking or vaping, drinking or using foul language. I felt like I was at a church camp or in a time warp. It was good to see kids that age behaving a lot better than when I was in high school. It gave me a lot of hope for the future.

I’ve been declared cancer-free after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on May 29, 2025. Top 5% case. An absolute miracle. My dad died from it in 2017. He lived seven months from diagnosis. :prayinghandsgif:

I was blessed to have a two parent family. They died with the promise of their marriage vows, until death do you part and my four grandparents as well. They devoted themselves to their children and grandchildren. We were poor. We got what we needed and sometimes what we wanted. I’m blessed because of the examples they set.
