Gov Landry demanded Mike VII be dragged out to football games. Vet school is in charge of Mike’s care and flat out refused, The Temu Tiger debacle was embarrassing and Landry simply can’t accept blame for it so he’s seeking revenge

Sorry to see this. My only experience was when my daughter was a student there and her dog broke with HGE middle of the night so she had to make a run to the vet er.

I've been saying this since 2018 but everytime I say it I get told I'm overreacting or I don't know what I'm talking about. I noticed it when I worked in economic development and now it's going into academia as well. Quality of Life is probably a bigger issue than taxes/regulations when attracting companies because they can't recruit them to Louisiana.

Louisiana doesn't produce enough entry level job opportunities, much less jobs that require a college degree. This would turn off a lot of the TOP students from staying in the first place. Handle your state's economic mess first.

As a customer, a lot. Hard to get calls back, for one. And I ran out of meds several times after a major surgery because calls to refill were going ignored.
Finally gave up at the end and I just came up with my own treatment plan for the last little bit.

He's brought in a considerable amount of money to the university under his watch. Our endowment has nearly doubled since he was brought on.
Same with research dollars. He's really done a good job at promoting LSU as a premier research university. Just look at the commercials LSU is putting out now. It not come to LSU, we have good food. They highlight the research activities.
Enrollment is still increasing.
And I think the best thing going for him is he's done a good job so far playing nice the Landry. He knows how the game works and he's doing a good job within the system.
