I can't imagine being so fricking stupid that I would ever compare a murderer to a baby. You do you, weirdo.

Tell me what crimes the baby committed aside from being an inconvenience to the mother to earn being put to death please?

I am not against the death penalty and I am not saying this man isn’t guilty. But the death penalty should absolutely be reserved for no question, slam dunk cases. Not cases based on “expert” opinion or best guesses.
I'm with you here. There have been several times where COD has been changed.

By saying you can't be pro life and for the death penalty, you are essentially equating an unborn baby and a murderer. One who has done nothing wrong with one who has very much done wrong.

Tie him up and clamp his head in one of those paint can shakers, then crank it up to 11 until he stops twitching.
Sounds like a plan.
I have always been a proponent of administering the death penalty to someone in the same manner they committed the crime, so they can experience the horror of what they did to someone else as their own life ends.

Update: Robert Roberson is scheduled to be executed on Oct. 17. Brian Wharton, a detective who helped to put Mr. Roberson on death row, is now pleading with Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas to save his life.
Admitting a mistake can be very hard. But how would it feel if the mistake helped put a man on death row?
That’s the burden the Rev. Brian Wharton has been carrying for more than two decades. He played a crucial role in the prosecution of Robert Roberson, who was found guilty in 2003 of killing his 2-year-old daughter and sentenced to death.
But as the Opinion video above explores, Mr. Wharton came to regret his involvement and the outcome of the case. He recently visited Texas’ death row, along with a crew from Opinion Video, and met with Mr. Roberson. It was the first time the men had spoken with each other since before his conviction.

Notably left out of the NYP article
I'm generally anti-DP and I'm probably anti-DP here due to the presence of some doubt. But it's ridiculous how the Innocence Project and the like (and media) will point towards innocence and leave out all the other facts that color the story. USA Today says "all evidence points to innocence" - obviously not.
But, that doesn't mean we should kill him if there is any evidence that points to innocence, IMO.

It was the prosecution's stance at trial that Roberson had intentionally caused the lethal head injuries to Nikki through severe abuse and murdered her. In court, medical experts theorized that the death of Nikki was, in part, caused by "shaken baby syndrome", which involved the violent shaking of an infant and would result in severe head injuries. Roberson denied at trial that he inflicted the fatal injuries on Nikki, although the evidence adduced at trial showed that Roberson had abused his ex-wife and two older children in the past.[5] Additionally, Roberson was arrested over 17 times and his ex-wife testified that he choked and punched her when she was pregnant.[6] Prosecutors also claimed that Nikki not only was violently shaken by Roberson, as reported by witnesses, but physicians also reported that Nikki suffered and ultimately died of “massive head trauma.” In the emergency room, Nikki was found to have the following injuries: "bruise on the back of her shoulder, a scraped elbow, a bruise over her right eyebrow, bruises on her chin, a bruise on her left cheek, an abrasion next to her left eye, multiple bruises on the back of her head, a torn frenulum in her mouth, bruising on the inner surface of the lower lip, subscapular and subgaleal hemorrhaging between her skin and her skull, subarachnoid bleeding, subdural hematoma, both pre-retinal and retinal hemorrhages and brain edema."[7] Additionally, four separate doctors testified Nikki had “multiple blows to different points on the head,” which could not have been caused by falling off a bed. At trial, Roberson's defense expert admitted that Roberson “lost it” and shook Nikki because he could not stop her from crying; two young girls who lived with Roberson testified that they saw him shaking Nikki.

How can you possibly read what you quoted and have any doubt whatsoever?
He literally shook his baby to death.
Or was this the ole... "Yeah, will I may have abused my other kids and my wife, and yeah, this baby died from trauma and being shaken, but I didn't do it." defense?

The real dichotomy is to be against the death penalty but for abortion.

And I feel that with modern technology we have more of those than ever now.
There should be a separate vote by the jury to determine if the case reaches such a threshold... and if it does, you get to ride the lightning that day. No more sitting around for decades appealing when we have you on video, your prints, and your DNA at the scene.
