You can accurately tell that the weather will be terrible with James Spann going on his typical tirade about trolls, etc.
He's very good at what he does, but he goes overboard in getting mad at people who question his "authority".

I get his frustration, between the trolls and the constant people asking about their specific town, it has to get frustrating.

This is a loop of the 0z HRRR for Wednesday. Depicts the three waves impacting Alabama that I talked about this afternoon. Not a good look.

Doesn't look good for Mississippi, either.

Yep, looks bad for both, with discrete supercells and then a broken line of semi-discreet storms when the actual front comes through. Both of those rounds should pose a substantial tornado threat.

I wouldn't have the patience to be a public facing met.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for our region

Good luck to the bros in MS and AL. Looks like us Cajuns down in Laffy might get some rain at least. This time of the year is always wild.

Yeah. The HRRR is doing the most with the discreet super cell development right now. The setup is a big mess and most models seem to be struggling with how morning storms will impact later development, particularly farther North in MS and AL. The overnight potential for this one is never good to see.

Not comparing this to April 27,'11, but in the early morning hours there were a handful of tornadoes that packed a surprising punch. Some, but definitely not all, thought early in the day these early AM storms may could calm the air to suppress the storms for later that day.
Obviously, that didn't happen.

I've watched all 13 hours of James Spann & Jason Simpson's on air time that day

after the morning stuff moved out and the sun started to peek through they were immediately like "this is not good for the afternoon... we need the clouds to hang around"

My sister and brother-in-law live south of Tuscaloosa. Makes me nervous seeing this.

This will be the 10 year anniversary of 4/27/11. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Me and Dad were there just 10 days earlier for A-Day. My sister was like 20 minutes south of the tornado.

Day 2 moderate.

HRRR loves to fire the open warm sector and make everything discrete at longer range. As of tonight, NE LA, E. Ark into W. Tenn and N. Miss look like the prime area, with the greatest chance of big hitters in Central Eastern Ark into W. Tenn and far N. Miss. The wildcard is the open warm sector in Central Miss & AL. Then things probably line out with a nocturnal threat of some spin ups.

After reading the SPC discussion, I think we might see a high issued for that area of Ark, Tenn, & Miss. Also, their language is pretty stout for that eastern portion of the area. Discrete cells firing during the day near the warm front would be big time trouble out there and then storm mode will determine the upper limits of the nocturnal threat.
