He mentioned it, and pics of his car were posted by someone else.

Storm chasers provide a great service, but sometimes I think we almost have too many of them now.

I'm betting to the North of the cell (that's all the rage these days, it seems). I have a hunch that the occluding tor got him as it moved north.

If not, he was too close to the storm on the south side of it and the reforming circulation sat down on top of/near him. Which would also be dumb as that cell had already made one right turn and the occlusion process was already clear on radar.

Somehow just safely landed in Little Rock right in time before it gets sketchy. The landing in Houston was hands down worst of my life, people grabbed one another out of terror. Anyway… hopefully things don’t get too nasty and hostile for all tonight. Prayers…seriously.

Exactly. That cell wobbled and deviated hard to the north almost out of the warning polygon. But it was easy to see the couplet and where it was going on velocity. I frickin hate most people in this field.

People are trying to do what Reed and a few others do but without the skill and experience they have. With the red dot boom over recent years this shite was only a matter of time. It seems as though someone is going to have to get killed before people change their ways.

I'm in Clinton, AR for work, that was originally in the moderate area but seems like the cap is holding for now.

Seems like more is happening further south.

Oh... lets drive through the precipitation core for 30 minutes and when it occludes it'll come right for us!

Amateur hour shite.

I love those pics from in the car, where you cant see shite for the rain and hail.

Thanks baws, for showing me what heavy fricking rain looks like in a car.

Local weather people in NWA continue to lean more towards this thing fizzling out up here. At the very least, not expecting anything til 3am or so. Im going to sleep but setting an alarm to check things out at 3. Hopefully it’s a complete bust and we’ll have dodged a bullet.

Same with the idiot who got hit by the Rolling Fork tornado. Why do people even chase at night. Thanks man for the grainy dark shot of maybe a tornado for .3 seconds during a lightning strike.

Yeah, thus far the cap is holding and anything that forms can’t sustain itself for too long.

Thank you for remembering. I can’t wait to get home to them!

I haven’t been following very closely but truly praying this system is a bust for all. If not, let’s hope folks are on high alert. Only thing worse than day tornados are middle of the night tornados.

One of them, maybe both, were also to the north of that cell. At night, with a confirmed tornado.

I've always been of the idea that when the sun sets the goal should turn to spotting and reporting. It isn't as sexy, but the chances of you actually getting a decent shot, especially down here, are slim. Try to pivot and be of service to the public for a change instead of putting yourself in a bad position and potentially becoming a problem.
