Looks like it’s going to be here in Little Rock aroujd 3am-6am.
Last Friday at camp was the first time my phone went off for a tornado emergency. Scared the shite out of me due to how loud it was.

Horrible. It's getting too dangerous out there. Anywhere in the US east of the Rockies and north of the I-10 corridor seems to have become Tornado Alley.

Glad I moved away from Central Arkansas.
As a Louisiana baw, I had and still have no idea how to deal with a tornado. Good bless those people.

Man I’m really not looking forward to tonight. Me and my family up here in NWA and got extended family spread out all over the place toward Central AR.
Afraid it’s gonna be a long night.

Me too.
And all of yall in that southern extent of the risk, dont sleep on this if it hasnt popped off by dusk. This looks like a straight up nighttime event for AR and MO.

I mean, y’all see it, right?

We moved up here a year ago. I am learning to take high wind precautions even without tornadoes. Straight line/high winds can do some damage.

Yep, and it’s important for people to remember that these outlooks actually run through 7am CDT the following day.

Go put your mask on and lock yourself in an interior closet. We will let you know when to come out

Obligatory "what time should I drive from Springfield to Bentonville?"

You post stuff like this in these threads but then never seem to come back when a bunch of tornadoes end up occurring. You won’t even have the balls to respond now, most likely.

These past few days with the Iowa outbreaks have given us some of the best tornado footage I've ever seen. I just wish it didn't come with absolute carnage. 2023 has been on full tilt weather wise...and it's only April.

The vast majority of damage we’ve incurred over the years has been due to high wind. Straight line winds are freaking expensive as hell.

It's weird living in kansas and seeing winds that would potentially cause issues back home not even move the needle here. We had a storm roll through with 70 mph winds a couple weeks ago and everyone, myself included, was more worried about the hail attached to it.

We moved up to Indiana from Idaho in November. I'm already done with this shite. Too scary for me with no real reward other than (surprise surprise) a LCOL.
Hurricanes give you warning and you can evacuate.
Heavy rain/lightning is kinda badass when you're indoors and it doesn't flood.
Snowstorms are fine if you're prepared.
A volcanic eruption (West risk) is scary, but at least you have awesome views.
Earthquakes also scare the shite out of me and I'd never live on the west coast for that reason.
You can't completely avoid natural disasters, but you can get the hell out of tornado alley. I had seen tornados rip through Louisiana before, but for some reason Friday night's tornado scared the shite out of me. Came about 6 miles south and leveled a couple houses.
Not for me, Jack.
