Magic is without a doubt more nerdy. Period.

no idea what either of those are.
Thank goodness.
So, my answer is both.

Normal chicks will play D&D but no estrogen is really that into Magic the Gathering or WoW. At least D&D gives a squire a shot at improv and getting laid. Never seen that from the latter.....
All the kids online say Magic is just Boomer Yu-Gi-Oh anyways.

There's no wood worth laying in that grove, baw.
Looks like some of the "talent" of the upper midwest.

Card games, P&P, and tabletops are infinitely nerdier than MMOs. Not that there's anything wrong with nerdy interests at all.

I will say Magic the Gathering is more nerdy. I've never played it though.
I've played WoW for years. I luckily have only been friends with pretty normal people on there. I have certainly come across some nerdy people who pretty much live in the game though. That's scary and depressing to me.
When I first started playing, one of our guildies was a mid 20s guy. His problem was he put the game before his life. He was pretty poor I think. He would sell motorcycle parts to pay for his subscription. Parts of his bike that he actually used for transportation, and he was no longer able to ride said motorcycle. Dude had serious issues.
Nerds are fine. People like I described above are the sad ones.

Agreed. WoW is a game that can be played at any level of commitment. Magic is exclusively played by people that are not only pretty smart, but *always* dedicated or at least at some point got super dedicated. It costs a ton to play Magic, as well.
Granted, I would argue that the guys at the top of the nerd chain in WoW can be every bit as bad as the ones in Magic. The basement dweller neckbeard thing is a pretty fair stereotype.

Easily, Magic the Gathering

i don't know enough about either to have an opinion.
i also think there are much worse things they could be doing with their time, so they get a pass in my book.

Timm on PMT said that D&D conventions see a lot of poonslaying, so they're the chads of the nerd world.

Magic because it is done in public. At least WoW you can be a nerd in private.
