I'm old enough to remember when you had to have a college email account to have FB. All FB was at the time, was people posting where a party was going to be, or what college class was the "easiest to take", or where study hall would be etc.,
It was a nice ecosystem. Then Mark decided anyone could have Facebook and it quickly became an echo chamber.
Instagram use to be shitty filters of people's shitty photos of a dog or a building, then the THOTS got ahold of it.
