Separating business calls from personal calls

If given these two options:
A) Request a company cell phone (a new phone number to be generated) to be used strictly for business related matters ...
B) Use your personal cell phone (using your own personal phone number), receive a monthly stipend knowing phone will be used for business and personal related matters ...

It's more complicated than that. Many companies will only give that stipend if you install company policy app on the phone.
Mine allows me to access work emails and such but the company policy that's installed on the phone makes me have to put in a device code upon every reboot and forces me to auto lock my phone after 5 minutes.
That said, I like B anyhow. But privacy nuts may disagree. I'm an IT nerd here and know for a fact they don't give two shits about my personal stash of nudes in a hidden folder or what perverted shite I'm texting daily.
They just want added protection for the work email server information and connectivity.

Obviously a negative for this type of scenario ... but I believe there is a way to add a second phone number (Sideline App) on top of your main phone line?

Simply based off of my assumption, I don't believe the company my friend Bill Clover works for is that sophisticated in terms of technology. They may get to that point one day, but for now, no.

But choose NOT to be on company phone plan. I don't need them monitoring my usage.

Take the stipend. You want your people to call you. You dont want half your customers having a number that is not going to stay with you.

My company just pays for my phone.

Get company phone, leave it charged at home and forward calls to personal.

I don’t like carrying two phones. Tried a few times and always went back

I carried two phones for a while. Got old fast. Transferred everything to my work phone.
I treat it as a personal phone. Texts. Pictures. Apps. Whatever. No worries. My employer is cooler than most though.

I’ve done both. Prefer to just use my personal phone. I hate carrying two phones like I’m doing now.
