selling rescue equipment to Iran

I can't believe I am hitting The Rant for this, but having insomnia and before I go to the Commerce Dept. website or State Dept.... here goes...
I received an inquiry for a company I rep, to quote for a sale to a distributor in Iran, ultimately for a fire department (or civil defense) in Iran.
It is still illegal, right? To do business there?

P.S.: the item requested is used for high-rise rescue, not for enriching uranium.
P.S. #2 I think this is my thousandth post!

Me neither. Don't you have people in your company who know the answer? Even during the worst of times there were exceptions to the embargo and you should have people who know the ins and outs of this. Ask them, not us.
