FB Marketplace has the most critters trying to buy stuff. They will start a convo, sounds fine and then no show. I got so tired of dealing with people on there.

Deals definitely to be had on the buying side

Agree but I feel like a lot of it has to do with the quality of the people in the area that you're buying or selling since its local classifieds. Louisiana is notoriously bad. Emotional, low IQ, no common sense, irresponsible, flaky, low effort buyers and sellers. When I lived in Texas every local classifieds transaction that I had went smooth as could be. Now that I'm back in Louisiana I cringe anytime I have to buy or sell anything locally. Louisiana people are especially bad about daydreaming/windowshopping but they actually start the process of talking to you about it and whatnot but never actually go through with the transaction. From the buyers side getting more information out of the product they're selling is virtually impossible. Assuming they even contact you back, asking for model numbers or more or better pictures could be a weeks-long process if it happens at all.

Get a time stamp app. Video devices working before mailing out. I do this with me sealing sports cards in the package for this reason

I hate eBay for the exact reason you stated. I sold something to someone and a week later they started a return despite me having a signature that they signed off for. EBay took the money out of my account and I never got the product back.

Critters are everywhere. Also depends on what you are selling.

I don’t see how Facebook marketplace is even comparable, you should be able to sell for larger profits on eBay then FB to make up for issues multiple times over.

This is so true. I used to live in the North Dallas suburbs and never had issues. As soon as I moved back to Louisiana, I had numerous people curse me out or trying to guilt me into giving them a single mom/poor person discount.
