Gonna go w/it probably being something along these lines.
I did some theater in HS and some of those kids were uber delusional about their talents. Usually the absolute worst actors were the ones completely convinced they should be the lead in everything and made no bones about letting everyone know it was a complete travesty they got relegated to stage crew.
