The beaches finally opened in AL at 5:00 PM yesterday and noticed that some Stay-at-Home Karen’s were on the beach at 5:01.

I'm not arguing any of what you just said. What I am arguing is the idea that the pandemic is a hoax, like that poster claimed. The pandemic is as real as you and I are. It happened and is happening. The "flatten the curve" goal has been achieved and we need to open back up. No doubt about that. I don't doubt for one minute that the government is using it as a political tool now. But to argue that the pandemic is a hoax is insanely stupid.

Ummmm, yeah that's what I'm saying. If you go out, just pump your gas, and get back in your car, there's no point in wearing a mask. And someone on the other side of the pump is not going to infect you. There's a fricking barrier and not like they're spitting on you. Remain safe but sane for god's sake. If I lived your mentality terrified perception of what COULD happen, I'd never leave my house.

You don't. Stay 6 feet away from another person and you're fine. "Uhhh what if someone runs into you". What if someone t-bones my car while I'm driving? What if I get food poisoning from a meal at a restaurant? All way more likely than me getting coronavirus on a jog. Life is all about measuring risks. Me getting coronavirus from a jog when I don't come close to someone or touch anything are in the millions.

The only way you'll get sick by pumping gas is if the person who pumped it before you had the virus, you get it on your hands, and then wipe your face. So this is a hands and not mask issue when it comes to the pumps.

You see those plastic sheets they're putting in front of all the counters in stores and pharmacies? Those are barriers, you dumb shite. A big metal pump sticking out of the ground between you and another person also counts. But I guess instead of paying 2 bucks for a piece of plastic and tape, they could go out and buy a 30K gas pump instead.
