this is probably germans to the regulars on here, but I just saw it and wanted to share with the masses who may not have seen it.
I feel like a small piece of me died. the terrorist won. Why cant this be called something else like the malibu crosstrax or something. This is #notmyblazer
UPDATE:
Probably an unnecessary update, but I really appreciate when people bring forth new information on a subject.

I'm guessing GM will need a government hand out again in the future.

Here's why GM didn't make the new Blazer a rugged Off-Road Truck
quote:
The formula seemed simple enough: take one iconic off-road nameplate, modernize it for a truck-crazed market, and make it rain. Grab some of those buyers who've propelled rugged rigs like the Toyota 4Runner and Jeep Wrangler to sales records this decade.
quote:
Chevrolet representatives said up front that bringing it back as a body-on-frame truck on the Colorado platform was never in the cards. They contend that's not what buyers in the lucrative midsize, two-row SUV segment want, brandishing market research showing "overall exterior styling" as their number one concern.
quote:
So we kind of have a modern interpretation of a Blazer with this being a crossover. It was never intended to be anything else.
quote:
the upcoming 2020 Ford Bronco is drawing on its heritage and using a truck frame with off-roading in mind. Pressed on that obvious comparison, and why Chevrolet wouldn't want to revisit that historic rivalry, Bender held firm. "It was never on the radar. We thought there was opportunity here with the two-row segment. This area of the business is growing, so that's why Blazer is what it is," she said.
I'm guessing GM will need a government hand out again in the future.

Is it FWD? It looks like it's FWD.

You sure that’s not a Rav-4?

It looks like a Subaru or one of those shitty Nissan crossovers

That grill is wannabe Lexus. What a pitiful attempt from Chevrolet.

from what I've read, AWD with controls to dial it back to 2WD for fuel economy.

Why does every new vehicle look like the same shitty crossover SUV? Everything looks like an ugly arse Honda CRV now.

Design Team: "How can we make this look as generic as possible without paying any tribute to the original Blazer."

That's what the Bronco will look like if it ever gets produced again

they are ALL exactly the same, just with different badges and front grilles, maybe slightly different body lines using the same cookie cutter shells.
if you put it next to the equinox they look like twins

I believe it's bigger than the Equinox. Will be built on the same chassis as the Acadia, from what I just read.

Pretty sure that's a Range Rover Evoque with "Blazer" written on the side.

I like them. I just think they are 20k over priced. Almost 50 thousand for the top 2 models
