Live chickens are packed into cages for trucking then removed and hung by the feet on a conveyor line. They then pass by a rotating knife which cuts off the head so the blood can run out. It’s pretty brutal, those buffalo wings with broken bones - that are common at Hooters - tell of a brutal life.

Cows and pigs may be slaughtered by being struck in the head with a hammer that also packs a bullet which is fired upon contact. Sometimes it takes multiple strikes.

Does a fish suffocating feel any distress?

It hurts to be eaten by a predator. We are predators so we hurt our prey then we eat the prey.

Not joking.

I didn't know that this was under debate. If it's living, just assume that it feels pain until told otherwise.

I know this will sound strange to most, but reading this makes me sad for the crabs.

I love Nature and all animals passionately, even though I practice no dietary restrictions.

How about human abortion?
