But… no babies

Idk. I’m probably less fearful in life than I should be.

Many women (and modern men) love safety nets, and are paralyzed in fear if they do not have them.

I think it has more to do with allowing women to work steadily without taking time off. There's a lot of women who couldn't have the careers they do without birth control of some kind. And even though society would be better off if most women stayed home and raised children, I think we've gotten past the point where that would be an easy solution.

The birth control pill was clearly bad for society. The way it changes how women select mates will have long term negative effects, for example.

This is something I discovered not too long ago but it makes complete sense. I mean those medicines are messing with hormones and how their body is supposed to be working so I would expect these types of things to happen.

My endometriosis would have far worse effects. It would have likely rendered me infertile without the help of birth control to reduce its spread. And that’s not accounting for the incredibly shitty symptoms (like where it webbed between my bowel and abdominal wall) pre-birth control.

hmmmmmm, birth control comes out right around the time broads started getting mouthy and trying to extend their sphere of control past the kitchen. They lost the fear and called the mans bluff

I am certainly no scientist, but it seems like there is a lot more difficulty in conceiving children naturally since the pill was introduced. Not sure if causation or correlation

Probably a combination of factors that includes being on pills that alter body chemistry and function for years at a time, but you’d have to tease out that factor’s importance compared to age at first marriage and/or age at first birth.

Our current society has people waiting to get married and have children longer and longer because of a myriad of factors (e.g., continuing education, establishing careers, costs of everything, attitude changes, etc.).

Look how irrationally crazy they went when Trump won the 2016 election: stormed the capital like rabid monkeys screeching and wearing pink pussy hats.

Then there was COVID: they were paralyzed by irrational fear of a mild cold, and tried to force everyone to take an experimental drug that didn't treat the cold.

Sounds like a good way for the pharmaceutical/medical industry to snowball things: The Pill leads to feeling fear in safe situations (anxiety) which leads to medical/psychiatric care which leads to more prescription drugs to treat anxiety.

What more can we through into the stew?

Pointing to limitations in their study, the scientists said that no causal relationship can be implied between COC use and brain morphology and that generalization of their results to a general population may be limited. The researchers also cautioned that drawing conclusion from anatomical findings to behavioral and psychological impact is not possible at this point.

I've long had a theory birth control and the introduction of the
microwave oven have led to the decline of America. This adds another negative to the birth control column.
