Video

Four school children were among the injured following a dramatic crash at an intersection in Overland Park, Kansas, on October 24. Police released video of the incident, urging motorists to pay attention.

“Yellow light means slow down not speed up,” they posted on Twitter.

This video shows a car attempting to make a left turn before getting slammed by another vehicle passing straight through the junction just after the lights go red.

One of the cars involved left the road after the collision, hitting a woman and four elementary school girls, according to local reports.

I love how the moron driving opens the door and falls on the ground, then a while later gets up and walks around like nothing happened...

I absolutely agree ,but I was always told green means "proceed with caution".

The car anxiously making the left turn was already in the center of the intersection & was hit by not 1 ,but 2 cars .

Woah, good question.

Is that some sort of animal? It looks like it's crawling.

Left turner is as much at fault. Trying to sneak a left turn in at the end of his yellow light, assuming oncoming traffic is going to stop.

Never assume drivers are going to do what you think they should. People are idiots, especially those behind the wheel with a place to be.

That poor (I think) woman and kid waiting at the crosswalk. She got thrown fifty feet or so. Damn. Kid seemed okay though.

Nothing wrong with that.

Yep. Never assume. Have to wait until you know they're stopping.
