Scariest plane experience

Just had a flight with bad turbulence and got me thinking if anyone's ever been in a dangerous or scary plane situation?
Worst I've had is where stuff was coming out of the top bens and the flight attendant fell from turbulence. Nothing too crazy

I once took off with full flaps and could figure out why I couldn't climb. I was already preparing to ditch in the lake when I saw the flaps lever and hit it.
Other than that, nothing really.

Flying over the Rockies, we hit some turbulence and I swear the plane dropped 75'. I shite myself.

Trying to get home from iowa when I was 21 and seeing the prices.
Still never flown, talked the car rental lady into letting me rent a car.

Flying on a puddle jumper, an E145 a few years ago. As soon as we took off, maybe 100 or 200 feet up, the pilot dramatically dipped the right wing extremely fast. Scared the shite out of everyone for a few seconds, then he relieved and told us a flock of geese came out of no where and that he had to do it to avoid a mid air collision.
After that, the flight was perfect.

Landing in Vegas in August. Thin air with a plane reducing speed = scary turbulence.

Landing a 172 in a 20 knot crosswind while soloing as a student.
Said a quick prayer on final.

Approach into SLC during a winter storm. shite was bumpy as all hell, think one time we just dropped 30-40 feet. Was real glad when the pilot put rubber to pavement.

I really landed US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River off Manhattan.
Captain Sully was having a bad morning and needed a pep-up, so I let him have credit

Flying to NYC several years ago and the plane suddenly nosed into about a 30-40 degree dive for about 3-5 minutes.
Finally pilot pulled it out of the dive and we continued on.
No word from the pilot about it at all. I think I let dents in the arm of the seat I was in. Scared the crap out of me.

Flying into Las Vegas once and ran into bad turbulence. One time we fell so far and then hit "good" air so hard, I thought we hit the ground. Bins opened and stuff fell out. Everyone was silent except some drunks in the back who were laughing. Lesson learned.

Sat next to a 400 lber and was worried I would pee on myself just trying to get past him

I almost didn't get bumped up from Business to First Class once. That shite was terrifying.

Was on a military flight and during landing I was looking down the runway from the side window. We hit hard and before we got off the plane the pilots and some maintenance crew were already under the plane looking at the landing gear.
There was only like 7 of us on that flight. It didn't take us, but a few minutes to get off the plane. We were all wondering wtf happened.

Do you prefer crabbing or the forward slip when dealing with crosswinds?

Lots of ugly turbulence over the Rockies over the years.
Had a rough landing in Dallas during bad weather. Ended up with a black eye from colliding with the passenger sitting next to me.

A very close call during final approach into ATL. We came very close to grazing another plane, and the pilot had to make a very sharp right turn that sent some bags flying.

Airliner runs off end of the runway. No one killed or seriously hurt, but damn scary.
