They are setting up the city and Dome for the game Monday night as well as events all over starting on Friday. Concerts, Super Fan Fest at the convention center, parties and 3 night minimums at some hotels, etc.

They are expecting a $250mm impact from the NCG this weekend

What the hell would the contingency plan be if the Saints had a home playoff game this weekend?

The way I saw they were decorating the Dome 6 days in advance, how the hell would they be able to turn it over in less than 24 hours?

Even if the saints played on Saturday, doesnt each LSU and Clemson get to practice on the field before the game Monday night? Does that give them enough time to flip the field and the Dome and still hold all the pregame activities in the Dome??

There’s no way this city is in any shape to handle anything like that right now

On a brighter note, Latoya still has her corn rows in her hair that she got in Ghana. I’m sure her hair is smelling the hot piece of shite she is.

Now you know why Sean Payton didn't use that last timeout.

The Saints were told they had to play like dog shite so they’d have plenty enough time to set dome up for National Championship.

They would probably play the game one Saturday or Sunday and not monday night.

This isn't exactly uncommon.

Saints had a home playoff game Saturday night before the LSU/Bama championship on Monday night. Not that big of a deal.

Saints played Saturday night game on 1/7/12 and BCS NCG was on 1/9/12.

Falcons played a Noon game at home the day following the SECCG.

This is very common.

Ok I'm sure you know all the inner workings on the city handling events and all and are tracking the moving parts from reading threads on the OT

Okay buddy, when was the last time there was a home NFL Divisional round playoff game in the same stadium that was also hosting the College Football National Championship game the same weekend?

How common is that?

The president of the Sugar Bowl said in an interview that they had been planing since the summer for the Saints to be playing this weekend. He said plan B was for no saints game. Also said if the Saints played they only would have lost a little bit of branding material for the dome.

Why can’t handle two football games? Mardi Gras isn’t far away and will bring more people to the city.

Years ago at the Greensboro Coliseum in NC, they were hosting the NCAA basketball tournament first and second rounds.
First round was all on Thursday. Second round on Saturday.

What happened on the Friday? A concert.
So, they had to pull up the court Thursday night only to have to put it back by Saturday

That was a wildcard game and LSU wasn’t really expected to win. This game is much bigger as well as a divisional playoff game

Closest divisional is Arizona in 2016

Not the same.

Name me when NFL Divisional Round and College National Championship games were played back to back when a team from each game were basically home teams??

How common is that?

Well since this is the latest the CFP/NCG has been...not common.

But stadiums turn over games/events overnight all the time. This isn’t unusual as noted above with other examples.
