You whiffed hard on this one.

Especially since the people in charge already acknowledged the plan was in place.

Fwiw, it is about a 10-15 hour job to change the field logos and endzones.

Yes. It’s very common for event/sporting venues to host back to back events.

I agree

That wasn’t what this thread is about

Sideline seating hasn’t ‘moved’ since the 2011 renovation

Then why were the only questions you asked about the logistics of transitioning the Superdome from the Saints game to the NCG game?

I think you’re missing the whole premise of the thread. It’s not just flipping from another championship game to another.

It’s flipping a stadium and field from one nationally televised championship game to another nationally televised championship game to another.

Not only that, they have extra curricular activities that begin on Friday and last all weekend though Monday night.

It’s a much taller task than just flipping the Dome from one irrelevant game to another.

These would have been two of the biggest games on the biggest stages of the year to date, in one of the best cities in the nation.

Y’all are just downplaying it bc I started the thread and you and golpher can’t help yourselves but to argue with me.

Considering the dome transitioned from a Super Bowl to the Endymion Extravaganza in 2-3 days back in 2013 (nfl didn’t release the Dome until the Wednesday or Thursday following) I think they would have been alright.

What happens to the rest of the city from a Saints playoff game?

I don't know anything about videography, but it seems like a lot of the equipment is rented/leased out to video these things. Maybe they use the same equipment for both.

If not, they have 48 hours or so to teardown/setup which is probably more than it takes since they move stadium to stadium each week.

The banners and shite are just logistics of people SMG is a big company that specializes in this.

Shuffling around practice time and walk through is easy. Especially since LSU will probably be basing operations in BR for longer than most out of area teams would.

These people are logistically geniuses. 48+ hours is a lifetime.

Really? They don’t push the sidelines back anymore?

I don’t think I’ve been to a college game in the Dome since Ohio St in 2008

The banners outside would likely still be up this week.

Which they look badass.

I guess that why they got started yesterday.

Why can’t the city hire them to tear down the Hard Rock Hotel?

Could be the difference in using out of town labor vs in town. Paying per diem, overtime, and hotel accommodations for workers.

Maintaining a timeline that ensures more time for media access or promotional shots.
