around 0330. He was standing next to a broken down vehicle. I slowed down to go past and someone was standing next to the vehicle playing a trombone. The simplest explanation is that the guy broke down and decided to play some music. Another part of me wants to know if the guy went swan over the railing when the cops showed up.

I was on the Causeway this morning playing the skin flute. But I stayed in my car.

wonder if it's the same dude I seen dressed as Santa in Lafayette last year. He was playing trombone on the side of Bertrand

That would have been John the Revelator, probably not the same guy.

The Lafayette trombone guy is usually seen in front of Tokyo Steakhouse on Ambassador Caffery, or around the corner in front of Todd’s Car Wash on Johnston street. I haven’t seen him in a while.

When I was in High School I would drive my mother to the Commissary and Navy Exchange at the Algiers Naval Base on Saturday mornings to get groceries. While she was inside shopping I would be outside on the parking lot depending on the weather practicing on some sort of brass instrument( I could play pretty much all of them). One Saturday morning I was on the hood of my car practicing on a Contrabass (mainly used in Drum And Bugle Corps) when a base security vehicle started circling the lot and eventually pulled up beside me (thought I was gonna get in trouble). They rolled their window down and said hey do us a favor, could you play that song you were playing when we first rode by here? Sometimes people want to entertain and sometimes people want to be entertained.

That’s Dococan Tenpenny from Hollgrove.

Give that boy ten pennies for playing the trumpet.

Is is a real trombonist or one of those fake ones that has it hooked up to a speaker and tries to scam people out of money?
