Gary Landrieu, an independent who is running a little chance campaign for Louisiana governor, is facing backlash after he used the n-word on local talk radio. “Let me tell you, when I was a kid we learned about protecting ourselves and defending ourselves because we were called a lot of ugly names as children,” Landrieu said during an episode of “The Right Chicks” on New Orleans’ WGSO 990 show this week. "As an eight-year-old, they called me, ‘Oh, there’s the n*****-lovers right there." Landrieu, a cousin of former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and former U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, was chided by the hosts of the show.
quote:
Landrieu has launched his campaign as an effort to protect Confederate monuments from removal and combat illegal immigration.

I see the weak Landrieu hairline runs deep in that disgusting family. Bald old git.

I love the use of the cross in the ad.

It looks like he contracted out his graphics work to a 6th grade computer class

I assume he's the one that came up with that campaign slogan. There's no way he actually paid someone to come up with that.

Are people really upset he used the word in that context? That's absurd

I'm not upset, if that helps.

Agreed. Sorry if I'm supposed to be upset about this but simply am not.

People forget that the cross was an inhumaine torture/death device for a lot of people.
Maybe one day there will be a religion where smiling people walk around glad handed with a gold necklace of an electric chair

Let's all be honest here. Are we really against people using the N-word in quotes?
