So, let me get this straight... Mitch's cousin is trying to save the monuments that Mitch tore down and he's trying to get black people to like him by saying kids called him a N***er Lover when he was little?

So I’ve married into this family and want to clarify a few things in this thread. I’ve been waiting for a Gary thread because of his antics and I’m surprised it’s taken this long.

Previous poster said “He IS the left.” He’s not. He’s FAR right. Likely farther right than trump and the average of this board.

Re: the quote above, the family is not unified in that way. There are the M Landrieus who are the children of Moon. This includes Mitch and Mary. They are obviously Democrats. Then there are the J Landrieus, children of Joseph of which Gary is one. Except for the matriarch of the family, the rest of them lean right. The M Landrieus were pissed when they found out Gary was running for governor and using the Landrieu name: hence his “Go Gary Governor” slogan that doesn’t highlight his name.

I’m not surprised at all by the FB posts above. You won’t find me defending his antics.
