Okay, definitely walks like a man. But really, why on earth would you show your face at all to a camera if this was premeditated? Put on sunglasses or something.

Is this just code that Amazon or whoever the doorbell camera was from (Nest) is uploading and storing your camera’s images regardless of having a subscription or not???
Might have still had internet access thru WiFi, but Amazon Sidewalk is probably helping Amazon to gather up a ton of data.
yup

So the doorbell camera was actually working and got video of the assailant.

It was always working. The deal was she didn't have a subscription, so they assumed the video was never saved.
Sounds like the FBI worked with NEST on the back end and were able to pull it even though there was no subscription to save.

What kind of idiot grabs a plant to block a door cameras shot? A Gardener who just made a massive Freudian slip

If the person was knowledgeable about Nancy not having a subscription, that would explain it.

Def doesn't seem like the smartest person... Which all but rules out the ransom being from him.
Sounds like more video about to be released. They said another camera triggered after this one, so its prob that video.

Kash just updated initial video of him walking up... He puts his head down when he realizes there is a camera.
Bright reflection off his mouth. Dude def has some bright white teeth or gold/platinum.

They gonna go nearly 2 weeks into a kidnapping before releasing so the public will think it’s hard for them to retrieve?

But they took the time to cover it with a plant. I'm thinking a robbery in a full on burka is the best bet ha ha.

Will be interesting to see if they also have video or just stills....
Breaking911 has the video. Dude is creepy.
The thing on his belt does look like a holster in the video

Some of these devices have SD slots or local memory to store data.
I think my new bird feeder cam works that way. If I want to archive the video beyond its local storage capacity, I have to pay for it.

You’re covered from head to toe and still worried over the ring camera. Has to be someone known to the victim.

He will be caught/identified within 24hrs. Too many tells.

I always wonder if there is some consideration in these situations re: how much they want to reveal just how far the capabilities of LE and big tech go.

Back pack stuffed full. Of what? Does his posture indicate he's used to carrying a back pack. Non black dude. Right handed. Not planned very well, but NOT random. Why wouldn't you have a piece of making tape to cover the nest camera. Moustache.
She's not still alive.

Our phones are listening to us 24/7 and it's all probably recorded somewhere. We walk around our houses giving the cameras a walk through to every detail.
They don't even need to be that capable because we allow it.

Could have been a red herring... While trying to figure out if the ransom note was legit or not and not wanting to endanger her if still alive, they were holding back what they had.
Once they confirmed it was fake, they throw it all out there and burn it down.

Of course. They want the criminals to keep implicating themselves. It's still a relatively little known fact that an ancestry dna test is the easiest way to catch an unknown criminal that left DNA at a scene. Even if the criminal themselves hasn't done the test, if any distant family has, they can quickly narrow their search from millions to a couple handfuls.
