"animation" and "meaningful" just don't belong in the same conversation.

Watch Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Grave of the Fireflies, Coco, Inside Out, or the Toy Story Trilogy. Animation is very meaningful, just as much as live action can be. If you’re actually mature, you should be able to recognize this.

Comic book movies, feature length cartoons, 'adult' films... Don't they make any movies for actual grown-ups any more?

Princess Mononoke would be a Hard R rated film if it were live action. There are decapitations, beheadings, people blown apart, prostitutes, and blood is everywhere throughout the movie. Possibly the most violent animated film ever made (certainly by Miyazaki) and it’s a pure masterpiece.

They don’t need to be taught about sex at such a young age, I’d agree. Let kids be kids. Relationships of any kind are an intrinsic element of the human experience though I’d argue.

quote:

Sure. Go nuts. But as much as you and the alphabet group doesn't want to hear it, it's not normal. It's just acceptable now. There's a huge difference between the two.

So what defines “normal” then? Is it any view that is not in agreement with yours is not normal? Seems a bit arrogant. Maybe “normal” is subjective.

Homosexuality has been present in human civilizations since the very beginning. Many people back even during the times of Jesus practiced it. Even before then it was commonplace in Ancient Greece. So again, what does “normal” mean if it’s something that’s been around for millennia longer that you, me, or any living soul.

Perhaps a culture where we actually try to learn about peoples of the world, especially those with different views of what defines “normal” is a more altruistic and humanitarian path.

All of the alphabet people will have to go see it 25 times each so that it looks more successful than it is. They surely already have plans for their next steps that "Have to be taken, or Disney is a bigot". This is the beginning of a blitzkrieg.

Why are liberals so obsessed with sharing their sexuality with children? These are sick people.

I think on the fact that its nature (biology) that life itself and body is designed to create and survive from a male and female relationship.

That isn't to say there is anything wrong with someone being gay or whatever their presence is but from a biological standpoint its not what constitutes as 'normal'.

This movie is going to make more money than God. I’m willing to bet it will be the highest grossing film of the year, although Dr Strange, Thor, and Avatar 2 stand a good chance at beating it.

Just wait until the MPAA gives it a PG-13 rating and the shareholders cry foul after they find out their kiddie box office money maker is now teen flick because of the kiss. They will fix it to try to get that back down to a G or PG rating.

There is a reason why strong sexual situations, nudity is so infrequent in some older movies as they would have gotten X or later NC-17 ratings, so they toned down some stuff to get a R rating to get a wider release. Showgirls was a movie that had to be recut to avoid the dreaded NC-17 rating. Also, some theaters by local laws or theater chain policy would not show movies with an X or NC-17 rating.

Then with some movies the even the R rating was too strong. And it would be back to the editing rooms to recut to get down to that PG-13 rating so it would appeal to wider audiences.

Also some schools have restrictions on showing PG-13 movies or higher to students.

I mean, they’ll do that then. This is just virtue signaling, but the only thing they really care about is the green.

My problem with stuff like this is that it's forced propaganda. Gonna create alot more gays who would have never conceived the idea if it wasn't supplanted into their brains early on.

Something simply existing does not make it normal.

Nope. It's a path toward destruction.

Probably so. But, this isn't your typical Pixar animation. It looks to be way darker. Like they're aiming for an older demographic. Parents won't be lining up to take their 2-4yr olds like every other Pixar movie. It's going to be interesting.

I've been calling for a grittier, brooding Toy Story full of sex and violence since 1995.

bullshite.

Most parents are clueless dolts who do zero research before taking their kids to see a movie. If it’s Disney Pixar they will assume it’s rated G and go.

I don’t have kids so I don’t have a dog in this hunt. But like someone else said, why do we need any kissing in a kids movie?

It's a mix of indoctrination and insecurity. Both are pathetic. Obviously indoctrination is nefarious, but the idea of trans adults, etc. being desperate to see their lifestyles represented in kid movies is just pathetic.

Basically none. which makes it even worse they are trying to shoehorn these hedonistic freaks into a cartoon movie young kids will want to see.

I was thinking the same thing. Either be consistent in your messaging or just continue to be no better than any other virtue signaling corporation.

My daughter loves it, probably her favorite movie. I like it too. Took her to see it in theaters when they were doing a Studio Ghibli fest at Tinsel Town.
