Up until about 5 years ago, it was “it doesn’t mater what gender you are. Girls can be firefighters, work on cars, not care about makeup. Boys can do ballet and play with dolls. Girls can be attracted to girls and boys can be attracted to boys. Doesn’t make them any less of a girl or a boy.”
