@ChasinSpin
Finished design on the Surginator underwater sensor for hurricanes. 0.079 inch (2mm) depth accuracy + salinity + water temperature measurement. Can be deployed for live data transmission or standalone.

Thanks. So this is the sensor head, and it will be fixed under upto 30ft of seawater (~2 atmospheres). So the board fits inside a 1 inch Schedule 40 PVC tube, and has potting compound all around the electronics to prevent water getting in and also to keep the buoyancy down.

a prediction is not an absolute
But one can do it such an arrogant way that it seems absolute.

Now I'm torn if I want to root for a NOLA landfall or not.
Didn’t want to be the guy to say it.
Why would you root for a NOLA landfall?
Slack you live in Morgan Shitty, correct?

Holy crap! It looks like it hits a wall up stream from the mouth of the Mississippi River and bounces almost 90 degrees to the northeast
Don’t blame it, I would avoid NOLA too

Does anyone have info (video or something) on the probes the hurricane hunters drop and/or how they work?
Those things interest me.

I agreed with everything until there. I’m not trying to seek attention here but you called me a moron for stating what literally every model shows now and felt I had to defend myself. Don’t call me a moron for making a prediction you disagree with then cop out of making one yourself when I call you out on it. Man up and defend why you think I’m wrong. Otherwise shut up about it
So in other words the models are making the predictions, and you’re just agreeing with them. Got it. Hey, I can play this game too!! My weather app says it’s going to be 91 degrees tomorrow. My prediction: I’m not a weather pro, but I predict tomorrow will be hot.

I'm posting in a Sally thread, checked out Tropical Tidbits Satellite Images, saw Karina, thought it was the invest in the eastern Atlantic, and thought how awkward it would be to use Karina after they retired Katrina. Didn't even register we're already on S in the real world.
didn't even realize it was you who had said it slack
feel bad for saying that now

Pretty sure that was also your prediction for 7 pm too. Ouch.
Cone changes don’t take place at 7pm, next cone change will be 10pm...

There was a storm in the 90s...what was it called that turned before it hit LA? Was it hurricane george? I remember vividly my teacher actually bitching that storm didn't hit us just because she had to do more catch up work making the days missed because of the storm.

It's pretty cool stuff if you're into instrumentation.

I remember that one. I remember them cancelling classes at LSU for that. Went to beD thinking things would be be-boping the next morning and woke up to sun and a nice breeze.

Low level center has been tugged under the convection a little to the NE. This could mean it doesn't get as far west in the longer run. Also, if the convection can persist over it then it's starting to stack vertically and would indicate a strengthening phase might be starting.
