Jay Grimes is at a 3/4 sleeve roll, but we are still in slacks, this is decent news for the area. Stay tuned for our next update on GrimesWatch.

Oh thank God I was getting worried! As long as Jay Grimes is in slacks we all good!

yeah we passed the K storm in the Atlantic a LONG time ago

I'm posting in a Sally thread, checked out Tropical Tidbits Satellite Images, saw Karina, thought it was the invest in the eastern Atlantic, and thought how awkward it would be to use Karina after they retired Katrina. Didn't even register we're already on S in the real world.

Waiting anxiously on this one because Reggio has been in the cross hairs so far with it.

This ain't looking good for Miss on these model runs. I hope Miss people are paying attention.

I'm sure they are. They've been in the worst of the shite on nearly ever run for a couple days regardless.

Yep. I stand by my prediction of a big change in cone at 10:00.

Western edge will be NOLA and eastern edge will be near Mobile/Orange Beach. Landfall will eventually be somewhere from Gulfport over to the AL state line. NOW would be the time to make the shift, not tomorrow. Nearly every model now shows a landfall on the MS gulf coast.

SELA wishcasters can downvote me all y’all want. The models all have recon data programmed now. This is not coming to NOLA or anywhere west. If I’m wrong, I’ll ban myself from weather threads for a year.

Holy crap! It looks like it hits a wall up stream from the mouth of the Mississippi River and bounces almost 90 degrees to the northeast.

As The Boat would say, looks like LA gets to claim another landfall. Venice and/or the Chandeleur Islands will catch it.

My guess is NOLA will be on the far western edge of the new cone and the eastern edge will be near Mobile. Landfall near Gulfport-MS/AL line.

So.....

It's been doing something similar every run, just it's been in Louisiana when it does it. This is what has basically been expected. It drifts west Monday and at some point early Tuesday it slows to a crawl and then takes a turn with a big northern component. The deeper storms just have the north turn be a little more dramatic.

Hey, I don’t mind being wrong and I don’t claim to be a pro here. It’s my prediction and if I’m wrong, I’ll bow out of this and every other weather thread for a year.

Now I'm torn if I want to root for a NOLA landfall or not.
