Just curious, where are you?
he is in Lake Charles. I think he knows wtf a hurricane is capable of.
And he knows a cat 1 would cause power to go out, i believe he was meaning for an extended period as in the storm taking out the main transmission lines.

Yes I have been through just about every level of storm the same as most people in the South
Where were you in a Cat 1 direct hit where you didn’t experience significant power outages?

Will a cat 1 really knock out power that easily in NOLA?
Tropical Storm Olga in Oct 2019 wrecked shite in N. MS and Tennessee last fall. Major power outages across the region and a cell tower blown down.

Cindy was a low low cat 1 and passed over NOLA and knocked power out for a week for some people.

Laura was down to 80 mph when it went over us. It took out the power grid for 9 days.

GFS really intensifies this moving north. A once again further east.

The material shortage is what worries me. Probably have used a lot of their stock over the past couple of weeks.

A lot of poles come out of SW Mississippi.

I’ve seen some inventories for transformers over the last couple of weeks. Let’s just say....it’s gonna take a while.

Lines up with the post 12z thinking that a stronger storm would turn sooner resulting in a more eastward track.

Issac was a shitshow. It really highlighted Entergy's weak infrastructure and preparedness.

I haven’t paid much attention, but is I-10 open through LC all the way into Houston? We booked a room out there in case we need to leave (Parish has already issued a mandatory evacuation order).

Well Entergy has all AIS and no GIS. No idea why

It's slower and thus farther east. Additional strength might have something to do with that too, as it would probably feel the north push a little stronger the deeper it is.
