Sunshine Bridge damage causing detours for over a year,

Detours for the barge damage were no where near a year. Repair was complete within 3 months. The traffic shifts before and after that were for the repair project underway at the time of the barge impact.

I’m sure the protection that marine vessels are provided in terms of what they are responsible for: actual damages and not lost revenue or total impact doesn’t help.

You'd think there would be some system in place for investigating if the company was at fault or not, whether it was negligence that caused the damage or just mechanical failure of some sort that couldn't be controlled.

It would appear these either do not or did not adhere to them

Or weren't expecting it to effect them? I think they were outside of the cone 6 days ago.

It happened during Harvey. It’s not related to Sally.

That shark picture never even happened. It’s photoshopped during Harvey.

It has always amazed me that Waffle House just puts those bollards out in front of the handicapped parking spaces and not in front of the other spaces.

They are protecting the handicap parking sign, not the restaurant.

To stick to the facts here, the panhandle has been under a TS warning from the border to Apalachicola since 5am Sunday. It’s been a hurricane warning for Pensacola since 4pm Monday. Anyone that lives on the coast knows the bad side of storms, and TS force winds are plenty enough to bring down a crane. There is no excuse for those contractors.

I concede. I was wrong on the timing aspect.
