Agreed. The national & local weather may have also dropped the ball too.

Hoping for the best for you guys over there.

What’s the scene look like in orange beach as far as folks planning to travel Friday? Got some family supposed to be going out that way.

How was the weather for Gauthier, MS?

Some guy from Gautier earlier called into Walton & Johnson radio show. Said that Gautier fared well. He was on his way to work.

Seems like destin is far enough west that it should be fine, but I don't really know what the power situation over there is.

Yeah that’s what I’m reading. Wasn’t sure if they just got pelted with some rain and wind but made out well or not

I live in Portofino Towers in Pensacola Beach and am riding it out. Still have power. ECUA shut down water to the island last night. Winds right now are insane. No sunlight yet, but I’ll post some updates once I can get eyeballs on what the area looks like.

Drove the island a bit yesterday afternoon. Pretty severe flooding along the sound side from the surge. Neighborhoods towards the eastern end of PB getting it bad. One condo complex had been evacuated. Power was shut off once the water got too high. We’re close to high tide right now, so expect it to be much worse this morning.

Severe damage from Ft Morgan all the way to Perdido Key. Nobody will be coming on vacation this weekend unless it’s to help cleanup.

I am inland from you and all hell has been breaking loose since before midnight. I am glad we have kayaks. The rainfall totals are unreal.
