Did I say I was hoping for total destruction? No.

This thing is moving so slow. Feel sorry for whoever catches the most rain. It’s going to dump rain on some people.

I’m gonna keep a running total in Spanish Fort since I’m an old man now and have a rain gauge. Only 3/4 of an inch so far.

Won’t need to water the grass for a while.

I’m pissed. This is 4 or 5 times now in the past year that they’ve gotten me ready for a little minor hurricane excitement

Perhaps the next one will be a Cat 5 that makes a direct hit on your house, then you’ll be excited.

Sally is looking like a heavy rain maker and is moving at snails pace, 2-3 days of heavy rain 1+ foot of water with 55+ mph of winds is plenty to saturate the ground, down trees, take out power lines, flood etc.

Last frame on IR showed a good burst of convection. She has looked sloppy most of the night

Euro doesn’t have her strengthening much. Gfs, HWRF, HMON still think it strengthens today to around 970mb

I’m pissed. This is 4 or 5 times now in the past year that they’ve gotten me ready for a little minor hurricane excitement all to end up having ZERO, literally zero impacts. This time they even texted me at 4am on a Sunday morning, 50+ hours before impacts to tell me about my life being threatened. I want to be a meteorologist

Lost my home in Hurricane Laura. Have a 6 month old. Just want to say I hope you have a great day today.

The weather channel is going to write a strongly worded letter to the nhc for downgrading this to a category 1.

In addition to the wind shear issues Sally has, I wonder it moving so slow is causing upwelling of cooler water and she is left sitting over that cooler water?

No, and I don’t read al.com regularly. I just know that hurricanes cause upwelling and since Sally is barely moving it means she is going to sit over the cooler waters that she brings to the surface.

You must be really young and not own anything if you are angry about that.
