It's still just not making much headway west at all,and upwelling and shear are becoming factors.

More shear will cause it to fall apart and just dump shite tons of rain.

I just don't think it'll even be close to what we got from Ivan.

A little west again on 4 AM update. Downgraded to a Cat 1 and moving 2 mph. Weather Channel app now showing landfall just on the west side of the Alabama - Mississippi state line. Guess at this rate it will hit in about a week.

Projected winds were also brought down to 85mph near tike if landfall.

For the new orleans people- It needs to stay due West or extreme WNW for the next solid 12-14 hours, before y'all can get excited. As of now, the experts have it making the Northern push prior to that

please stop lying dude

Looks like we are waking up to good news of it getting weaker. I’m guessing it’s run out of time and deep water to get too much stronger?

I’m pissed. This is 4 or 5 times now in the past year that they’ve gotten me ready for a little minor hurricane excitement all to end up having ZERO, literally zero impacts. This time they even texted me at 4am on a Sunday morning, 50+ hours before impacts to tell me about my life being threatened. I want to be a meteorologist

WLOX just said that the WNW movement has stopped and now NW heading. Says this could be where It starts making it’s move to the North.

Maybe the next one will be the one that brings you total destruction.
Happy then?

This thing is moving so slow. Feel sorry for whoever catches the most rain. It’s going to dump rain on some people.
