I think most of you need to go hang out on north Foster and be nice to everyone and see how that goes for you.

Not excusing Sterling for being non conpliant, but within the first 20 seconds, Salamoni is threatening to execute him if he doesn't comply. That's not how being a police officer works.

I was caught off guard at how he reacted too.

but like others said, dont the circumstances change when they are called there knowing the guy had a gun on him somewhere and had just pulled it on someone?

Whole thing could have been avoided if ole baw just obeyed orders

Or if Saint Alton wasn’t threatening people with a gun, wasn’t high on numerous drugs, wasn’t illegally carrying a gun

Sure they do. If I was a cop and answered a call from 911 about a man with a gun, I wouldn't go hands on immediately. I'd disarm the suspect before getting close to him.

And why did the other officer put the gun in the police unit? Shouldn't he have left it at the scene?

I gotta say, that security camera footage is worrisome. He wasn’t going down with the tasers but his hands were visible and the cops had a safe distance from him and were drawn on him. If Salamoni had not gone in hard, they probably had him contained.

This. Watching that security camera footage was rough. He's lucky he's only getting fired honestly.

Yeah I don't know. Watch the surveillance video. He picks it up and puts it on the car hood/windshield initially.

I think I would have left it as is though, or at least moved it out of reach of Sterling

Lmao. Really? Adrenaline is a mother fricker. I'd love to hear what you'd say in the same situation. When it comes to life or death, nice words go right the frick out the window.

shouldnt we expect more from our police?

You have to secure his hands in order to disarm him

Or have him keep his hands on the hood like he was told

He wouldn’t comply

I'd certainly be looking to see if other departments are hiring.

I've been pretty pro-police with this but that video is a pretty fricking bad look for Salamoni

no because Lake was already on the scene speaking to Sterling before the bitch Salamoni pulled up.

Because it’s a public place.
