These Hollywood people really need to get off the guilt dick. You’re worth millions and banging Blake fricking Lively. We are not the same.

If he should apologize for anything, it should be Green Lantern.

I too had a plantation wedding.

Not sorry though, location was beautiful.

What a pathetic bitch.

What we saw after [the wedding] was a place built upon devastating tragedy,”

Welcome to human history.

America is the most free and most diverse country on planet earth with the largest class mobility.

And instead of celebrating that we are stuck lamenting our past as if it's the present.

Slavery is still a very real thing all over the planet. It is not in America.

Stop attacking the present for the sins of the past.

Is he returning every penny he made off of Harvey Weinstein and apologizing for his affiliation with Hollywood?

I’m so sick of this nonsense. You can take just about any plot of land that humans have occupied and if you go back far enough, atrocities were likely committed on it. It’s not our fault that humans in the past were assholes. It isn’t fair or just to continually bring up the sins of the past as though they were ghosts through which you can whack people over the head with.

These plantations serve as locations of immense natural beauty, and it’s wrong to want to deprive people of experiencing that natural beauty.

And that's why they chose a plantation wedding too.

I guess nobody should get married on a beach either since oceans were used to bring slaves over.

I always use this argument but why can’t places that were once places of atrocity now be used as a place to embrace love. Adapt and move forward. Take them over as a place where people come together rather than being torn apart.

Plus, the money they paid to have that plantation wedding most likely helps support the educational/museum missions of the place.

And to think, I used to like Ryan Reynolds.

I got married at a Plantation and I might just ask my wife if we can go it again next year for our 10 year anniversary again!

Mount “P” is a country yuppie paradise. All the new money from trust fund babies whose parents lived in the Battery. Very nice place to live but there are some insufferable douchebags that populate that area.

Magnolia Mound - Baton Rouge for me. Great location for it.

From Wiki:

quote:

about 50 slaves at the plantation, who cultivated indigo, tobacco, cotton, and sugarcane under the supervision of an overseer.

I don't know what people expect. The people who grow up to be actors are the same ones that were drama/theater nerds in high school.
