RUSTON, La. (KNOE) - The Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office says three people have been arrested, accused of selling narcotics illegally in the Ruston area. Along with dealing drugs from their home, authorities say they were selling candy and treats to neighborhood children.
According to the sheriff's office, LPNET agents executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 2011 West Alabama Avenue. Inside, they say they found three people, along with marijuana, hydrocodone, Vicodin, paraphernalia, scales, and baggies.
Agents say the scales were on a table with some of the items being sold to neighborhood children. Items being sold to children included chips, candy, nachos, pickles, popsicles, and drinks. Authorities say the drugs and treats were both sold from the same apartment.
The three people inside were identified as Peter Guy, Marcus Gaines, and Kerrington Barnes. They were arrested and each charged with Possession of Schedule I CDS w/Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule II CDS w/Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

There used to be a Candy Lady is every neighborhood in the hood. I don’t t know if they are still common, but they sold candy and treats out of their home, no sales tax or any type of regulation.

So they weren't selling drugs to children, they diversified their business model. I don't see a problem.

And here I was expecting them to be selling the infused candies to kids...but they were just selling regular snacks.
