The media set up this scenario because it’s a win-win for Biden to boost his terrible poll numbers, and democrats in general. If Russia does invade they look right in predicting it and can say “we told you so!”. If they don’t they can say “it was because of our strong leadership!”.

There are actions short of actively getting involved in a shooting war we can take to make it costly for Putin to carry this out. I expect we will implement them if he goes through with it.
It's one thing to believe Ukraine isn't worth American lives. It's another to subtly or not so subtly root for Putin, which I have occasionally seen on TD and seen pretty often elsewhere Reagan must be spinning in his grave.

Reagan might be spinning in his grave. But America is the world's leading exporter of really bad, really destructive ideas. So I'm not sure he'd have the same confidence in the country he led (and rightfully so).
