Got a question for the people that have no issue with this. If I walk up behind your wife and slap her on the arse are we gonna have a problem or are you gonna let me just grab some boob too if I decide?

It all depends on the situation. And a quick friendly slap on the arse is different than grabbing a boob.

Is this really a thing between a man and woman, especially if they don't know each other?

Can we actually move on as a society and stop trying to hold on to the days of the Honeymooners?

How about this.

Don't freaking touch people that don't want to be touched.

I have NEVER even thought about slapping the butt of someone I don't know. Do you think about this? Do you actually do it? What the hell is wrong with you?

Thee hyperbolic rhetoric aside, why do it?

You are correct all the way around, and dumb thing to do.

However, this is more proof that As a country we are soft. People are completely out of touch with what real trauma is.

I hate that she felt the need to keep talking about it, and because of her fake outrage I absolutely have less respect for her than the guy that slapped her arse.

Not really. But can you say it was in any way criminal? It looked like a spur of the moment thing, he saw a reporter doing a report, he thought he would be "cute" and give her a slap on the back side. Like the way people do during a game or something.

If he would have slapped her on her back would it have been the same thing?

Just imagine if a man randomly slap your sister, daughter , wife ,Mother, etc....on the back side because he wanted to be ' cute' .

How about an adult just keeping hands to himself?

I mean - I don't think he took her power.

But how about let's not touch people who don't wanna be touched? Seems like a pretty easy rule for me to follow.

Wouldn't a friendly slap on the arse require the slapper and slappee to be friends, or at least acquaintances? I can't think of any situation where I am ok with a stranger slapping my wife's arse

We has issues with my dad about this. We are pretty guarded about our kids ending up on social media in any way, but he felt he had this God given right as a grandfather to be able to post about his grandkids whenever he wanted. For a while I would get the "I just want to post stuff about my grandkids, show them off, lighten up, it's not a big deal".

How about "we are adults, those are our kids, and we'd appreciate you respecting our wishes regardless of what grandpa rights you feel are taken away".

If it bothers someone, get over yourself and respect that. It's simple.

In Louisiana, believe it or not, that is the textbook definition of a misdemeanor sexual battery.

Misdemeanor sexual battery is the intentional touching of the breasts or buttocks of the victim by the offender using any instrumentality or any part of the body of the offender, directly or through clothing, or the intentional touching of the breasts or buttocks of the offender by the victim using any instrumentality or any part of the body of the victim, directly or through clothing, when the offender acts without the consent of the victim.

So, yes, one could say it was criminal.

Would you feel violated if someone in a race you are doing a report on slaps you on the but?

It was a tap. I can understand being surprised. Caught off guard. But you don't think intent plays a factor? I don't think his intent was to feel her up.

I had a random woman slap me on the arse at a Hawaii night club a couple of years ago. It took me a while to get my power back, too.

It was inappropriate, but if you think that was sexual assault you are in seriousness need of therapy.
