Seriously, I think this is total bullshite. Here is the story.

Is it an overreaction for the woman to say she felt violated?
It wasn't sexual at all. It was just a little slap. Does anyone else think he crossed the line to the point she needed to file a police report?
quote:
Reporter Alex Bozarjian said she was in "disbelief" when a man, who was running in the Savannah race she was covering on Saturday, moved behind her and appeared to slap her on the butt.
"He took my power, and I'm trying to take that back," Bozarjian said Tuesday on "CBS This Morning," adding, "I think what it really comes down to is that he helped himself to a part of my body."
You could see her shock during her live shot in the video posted on Twitter, which has been viewed more than 11 million times. On Saturday Bozarjian called the man out on Twitter, writing: "To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: You violated, objectified, and embarrassed me. No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere!! Do better."
Bozarjian filed a police report Monday, and the man, Tommy Callaway, was banned from future Savannah Sports Council races.
Bozarjian described the "heavy impact" and told CBS News the encounter made her feel "extremely vulnerable."
"I would say the reason why maybe it caught so much fire is because the emotion is extremely relatable for women all over the world," she said.
In a statement, Callaway's lawyer said: "While we regret the situation, Mr. Callaway did not act with any criminal intentions. Tommy is a loving husband and father who is very active in his community."
Bozarjian said Callaway made contact with Savannah station WSAV-TV and said his intentions were not to hurt her.
"I'm not going to really debate that because he hurt me," Bozarjian said.

I mean, he’s a moron. Stupid game, stupid prizes.
Sounds like he has a wife, takes a real dumbass to cockblock yourself.

Has the world really come to this? When did we lose control?
If that had happened 30 years ago, everyone would have gotten a hell of a laugh out of it (including the reporter, probably) and gone about their day.
"He took my power"???? WTF is this?

The hyperbolic rhetoric aside, why do it?

I think it's about her ability to say yes or no. He didn't give her that choice.

Everyone was acting like an arse that was running close to her. He just happened to make contact with her (her arse albeit), but it's not like he stuck a finger in there. Just a little tap.

Agreed on the “he took my power” being a weird comment
But I also think it’s obvious at this point that 30 years ago women weren’t really ok with men groping, smacking, touching them. Just because they laughed doesn’t make it ok.
You shouldnt just grab random women’s asses and think it’s ok just because they or anyone else laughed.

Was it a good idea? Not really. But can you say it was in any way criminal? It looked like a spur of the moment thing, he saw a reporter doing a report, he thought he would be "cute" and give her a slap on the back side. Like the way people do during a game or something.
If he would have slapped her on her back would it have been the same thing?

Just don't do it.
Why is this so hard?
I don't see why they had to ban the guy. Just approach him and ask him to apologize, and if he doesn't, then you can move forward with whatever.

Obviously not. Smacking a woman’s arse is different than a pat on the back.
The frick?

She should be allowed to slap him on the arse. Eye for an eye.

Got a question for the people that have no issue with this. If I walk up behind your wife and slap her on the arse are we gonna have a problem or are you gonna let me just grab some boob too if I decide?

No, he GAVE you power. The power to get all that attention you want right now. Might as well grab it now because in about a month you'll be a nobody again.
What a bitch.

I think the reporter girl in Virginia who was shot and killed on live TV had way more power taken away from her than this woman covering a road race

She was violated, but in a very minor way

No, a police report over this would be getting a little absurd
This guy's life is about to be torn apart by social media overreacting. He doesn't deserve that, but it was pretty fricking stupid of him to slap a strangers arse, especially when she is in front of a recording camera

Pretty fricking cool to be banned from running in races. I’ve never ran in one, don’t plan to...but I’d love to say I can’t because I’m banned.
