Most SJA women I have met went on to become Social Workers, Gov't Employees, and Teachers. Noble professions, no doubt but was the cost of their secondary education justified given their future careers?

Conservative backward towns aren’t known for producing women who really go out there and make cash. Rather they just pop out kids and go to travel ball tournaments

Ever stop and think that maybe it's just the people you associate with?

Jesus christ!

Can you please elaborate on this? Specific details? What JBE policies have caused this problem?

And while you are at it, can you compare the economy growth under Jindal compared to JBE?

February 7, 2020
To: Our School Family

It is with a heavy heart that I must share the sad news that the Runnels High School division will close at the end of the current school year. After extensive study, the unanimous decision made by The Runnels School Board of Trustees was based on a gravely insufficient number of student enrollments for the upcoming school year in that division. This has been a devastating outcome. Despite this, we are dedicated to making the final months of Runnels High School the best possible experience for all involved. We intend to embrace the time we have left together with the love, kindness, and camaraderie that has been the benchmark of our high school.

The enrollment for preschool, elementary, and junior high grades does support continuing those programs. Therefore, the future structure of Runnels School will be comprised of those grades. Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, Runnels School will continue as a vibrant preschool through eighth-grade school. Runnels will build on the foundation of excellence that has been the core of our beloved school since its beginning. Our emphasis on excellence in academics with attention to the arts in a nurturing and tolerant environment will remain our mission.

We sincerely thank everyone in our “Runnels Family,” students, parents, alumni, friends, and especially our administrators and faculty, for their ongoing support throughout this difficult and sad period in the history of our school.

With deepest sincerity,
LK Runnels on Behalf of the Board of Trustees

Honestly, that would be about right for my luck.

Based on the conversations this board had last year, I'm not surprised.

Hopefully the families can find a new place rather easily.

I wonder how many kids will remain in the K-8th program? That model seems to work for St George and OLOM fairly well.

Kids are already starting to leave junior high as well. The school in general has been going downhill steadily for the past 4-5 years.

There is absolutely no reason to drop thousands of dollars on a private EBR education with top public school districts in Zachary, Central, Livingston and Ascension all around.
