I don't know if that's true but I had heard something similar. There's nothing wrong with it if they do.
There's nothing wrong with it at all. Hell, I think all of these Catholic schools should be doing it.

There's someone lurking this thread that's going to get very butthurt by that. Dont ruin it

Actually, they're probably more similar than most realize.

i don't see anything wrong with blue collar work, personally. Plumbers make good money. And i know guys that coach that dont make much money, but they touch lives and mold kids, which doesn't have a value.

Agree with all of this.

It's not an extra class. It is part of the core curriculum. You are given a PSAT book in 8th grade and it is just part of the daily class load. Jesuit may get more top level students compared to other schools, but they do the best job of elevating the entire student body to a higher level. And the reason the Alumni support is where it is at is simple. The opportunities and daily teaching encourage the student body to give back to assist others.

Well that and the fact that the school has been around s hundred or so years.
ARHS is just starting to get into 3rd generation students.

I'm a Rummel alum, graduated from college, now work in medicine...
Every time I write my a/c man a check for $250 for a 45 minute a/c yearly service, I question my past decisions everyday....

Why are you so insecure about how people view your high school?
And congrats on overpaying.

Like I said, this was from the 80's, but my friend told me that it was an afterschool/voluntary program that was run by one of the brothers. He told me that the majority of the kids who participated wound up being NMS.

You kinda are.

My kid was a NMF at Jesuit. You have no idea what you're talking about.
There is no such "class." Those boys who are still on the accelerated track by their junior year spend the first quarter of Honors English IV doing a lot of PSAT prep.
By the time the test rolls around in October, they are scoring high on practice tests and the real one is easy. (Of course, they have to actually be smart in the first place.)

22 pages I'm sure it's been covered in great detail how much Rummel sucks compared to the other CHS in the area.
