Nicest - Wolfgang Puck. Dude is funny as hell. Would hang out and drink with him any time.

I worked for Buddy Roemer so to meet Edwin Edwards and find him to be pleasant and very likable horrified me.
This is completely counterintuitive but Bill Clinton was kind of a dick to me and 45 seconds later Hillary Clinton was very nice. 23 years later it still amazes me.
Overall nicest would be Harry Connick
Rudest no contest was Sofia Vergara and she looks like unholy hell without Sherwin Williams level layering of makeup.

So sorry to hear about your story with Ric Flair. He was awesome when I ran into him at the airport.
"Mr. Perfect". Isn't he dead now?

Ron "Opie" Howard - very nice, pretty shy, would rather talk about subject but himself.
Faith Ford, very nice, down to earth.
Ted Kennedy, about as nice a human as I have ever talked to. Spent about 30 minutes with him. Was very skeptical going in but again, could not have been any nicer.
Rollie Massimino. Tried to get an autograph when he was going in to meet with his team after a game. He apologized as there were three or four of us; said he needed to hurry in and address some stuff with the team.
Paul Newman, really pretty shy, awfully polite, smart as hell.
Harry Anderson but it was when he was doing magic in the French Quarter.
Joe Adcock: most polite, down to earth gent.
Minnie Minoso: very polite, accommodating. My nephew was getting his autograph at an old timer's game and dropped his program and about 20 3x5 autographed cards. Minnie walked around, gathering them all up for him and handed them back to him in the stands.
Willie Mays: funny, nice, polite, very engaging.
Bob Feller: typical old crusty mid-westerner which could have fooled most but a very decent, nice old gent when I met him.
Jim Piersall: crazy but nice
J. D. Sumner: awfully shy, like he did not expect anyone to think he was a big part of Elvis' glory years.
Gov. Jimmie Davis, Gov. John McKeithen, Gov. Edwin Edwards, all about as nice as anyone I've ever met. Gov. Davis a true and decent guy. Gov. McKeithen was the type of guy who made you think you were the only person in a room of 100. Edwin could disarm Stalin, Kruchev, or Hitler. Always knew a lot about any subject you could bring up. If he didn't, he was humble enough to seek out someone who did.
Russell Long: no doubt a politician and a bit evasive on most topics (did not seem to want to take a stand and piss anyone off) but he knew how to get it done in Washington, D. C.
Bennett Johnston: sort of a country club attitude but polite.
Buddy Roemer: I am sure he is a smart man but he never seemed to want to admit he did not know it all. Pretty starch shirted, a bit better than the next guy.
Dave Treen: very polite, very professional.
Mitch Landrieu: you can take someone out of New Orleans but you can't take the New Orleans out of someone.
William "Dollar Bill" Jefferson: no doubt one of the nicest, most polite people I have ever been around. Sad he had to go rogue.

Coolest, Ryan fricking Cabrera. Met him at Krystal Bueger on Bourbon in 2005. Had the huge hair and all.
We were behind him in line and my buddy taps/drunk shoves him in the back saying "hey, you're Ryan fricking Cabrera".
He was cool with it. Ate Krystal burger with everyone.

Years ago, I was in an elevator when Patrick Ewing got on. We were the only two on the elevator. I immediately recognized him and thought about saying "Goony-Goo-Goo" but instead just said, "Oh, hi, how you doin".
He looked at me like I had just pissed on his leg, literally grunted, and then look away.
So, after he got off the elevator and had walked down the hall a little bit, I held the door and yelled down the hall, "What's it like knowing that you'll never win a championship with Shaq in the league ... You're nothing but his little b!tch!"

Nicest- john lithgow. Sat next to me at the district for three hours drinking blue moon watching the new york giants playoff game. Apparently his fav team. Dude came in by himself and talked to my cuz and i the whole time. Really down to earth. A couple fans came up to him and he was nice to them too.
Jonathan silverman from weekend at bernies was nice as all hell.
Rudest-cant think of anyone. Really havent met many celebs.

Nice:
Travis Tritt - flew in first class ATL-LAX. Seemed very nice and joked around with the flight crew.
Sara Palin - very nice and hot as balls
Bill from The Apprentice - very nice dude.
Tony Gwynn - signed about 300 baseballs and talked to everyone as he did it.
Rude:
Hank Aaron - told me and 1 other kid that he would not sign a baseball for us when there was no one around.
Jared from Subway - met him in a plane from ATL to Indy. Nothing notable happened, but many years later it turns out he was fricking kids.
Sterling Sharp - compete dickhead. Saw him in a bar in Mobile. Asked if he was sterling sharp. He said "no". I said yes you are. He yelled "then what did you ask for!"
Neutral:
Kevin Nealon - mutual head nod
Steve Forbes - exchanged stares
Kim Fields - sat behind me on a ATL-LAX flight. Didn't say anything.
Bill Murray - Walked by me on an elevator in ATL. I was tounge tied bc he's so awesome. He stopped, looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and kept walking. (This probably should be in the nice/cool category. He was giving me a chance to talk to him and I blew it.
)
Jason Dufner - Rode an elevator with him in Ponte Vedra. Gave him a "war eagle". He mumbled war eagle back.... His wife was with him in yoga pants. Sweet sassy mollassy!!!!

In NOLA a few years back - sitting on those concrete risers near Cafe Dumond - Mark Ruffalo and his family - he was chatting me up like we were friends - I didn't recognize him at first - sunglasses and all - so we had a nice conversation until I realized who he was and that I had some pretty naughty thoughts about him. I didn't try to hug his kids or anything, but I did get a little stuttery. Have an awesome pic w him his wife, me and Mr Mercy. Super nice guy - still love him madly...I need to have that photo shopped where it's just me and him...

I don't really remember my only legit celeb encounter. Was trashed at Columns and apparently spoke to Evan Rachel Wood for a few minutes. I would have never known if my friends didn't tell me it happened. She was apparently polite. Maybe she was half as drunk as I was.

Thank you for your riveting post. It was life changing. I will bookmark this thread so I can go back and remember that the only relevant thing for someone to do was correct a typo on an internet message board in a smart arse way.

only thing that would make moby a prick is he is a vegan but I'm guessing he's cool. If you're not eating a steak next to him he's gonna hate.
