Only fault I see is the employee should have pushed her into traffic.

J/K Both are horrible people.

I’m sorry you so relate to the fat entitled bitch that you feel there is a great injustice that occurred here. I just see an entitled woman that mistakenly thought the corporate logo gave her license and protection to treat an employee like scum and found out she was wrong.

I don’t relate to the customer. I’m only pointing out that only one committed a crime

One could argue Karen also committed a crime, but my point is that nothing in the video resulted in any harm that should involve lawyers or law enforcement. Outside of a legal analysis, getting a decent shove that caused her to softly tumble to the ground was probably a proportional response/result for her behavior in shoving the pizza at the employee. Thankfully no one was actually hurt and someone filmed it for my entertainment.

I think it’s a bad precedent to set where employees assault customers. Seems pretty simple.

I think it's a bad precedent for customers to do shite like that without any repercussions. Seems pretty simple.

Karen tried to be a bitch and a bully, She fooled around and found out. That said, as soon as the employee followed her outside and prolonged the confrontation, she crossed the line. Pushing her down just sealed the deal.

Strong assumption the parking lot belongs to Pizza Hut which makes it part of company parking lot. An employee can follow her around for however long as they want until they leave the premises.

There could be repercussions, but not assault

The customer took a verbal altercation and made it something else when she pushed the pizza toward the employee with malice. At that point you're using an object to intimidate someone.

It would be like arguing with your wife and flinging a dinner plate at the wall. It's physical intimidation.

Once you break that plane, I think you have the right to defend yourself until they leave the property.

The woman thought she was untouchable and could act a fool until she got touched. She dipped out with a quickness after realizing she would get her arse kicked. Unhinged people need to feel some consequences.

Seems like the Pizza Hut employee was also unhinged. What should her consequences be?

That was as much of an assault as the customer did by throwing the pizza at the employee.

Did she show up at Karen's job and start throwing shite?

Getting fired. As a manager of a storefront, I would surely fire her. I would also fire the customer.

This is a great point to make. People who have never worked in the service industry don't understand sometimes how asinine it would be for me to walk into a law or accounting office and start throwing shite. It's pure classism "These people are beneath me, I can unleash my rage at them" bullshite.

Grow up, and go to therapy.

She was leaving.

I originally thought she threw it, but she shoved the pizza over the counter. It wasn’t even at the employee. I had to rewatch to make sure. Employee was to the left and she guided it straight up the middle.

Both sides handled it poorly. I don’t see how anyone can agree the employee was justified. Employee needs to be arrested.

firing the employee won't protect the pizza hut from a lawsuit anyway.

Major companies have insurance to cover lawsuits.

But seeing as how most places like this are owned by a franchiser....I doubt they can afford that.
