Yes, I don't think pure muscle mass is the deciding factor for two 135 lb fighters.

the only question is at what point does that advantage make up for the physical inferiority.

or you could ask.. what level of training does someone who is physically superior need to stop her ground game?

You could say the same for a seasoned high school wrestler

Why would Mayweather win so easily? Aren't they basically the same size?

He's an inch taller and 20 pounds heavier. Plus he's faster than she is. Men naturally have more strength also so he'd do whatever he wanted to with her.

Nobody's going to insure that match. Mayweather could break her neck with one punch.

Mayweather likely walks around much heavier. He is much stronger and much faster. He wins in all liklihood. I do think Rhonda would win on occasion though. If she could get ahold of him without being knocked senseless, she could probably get him down and would almost certainly win if they went to the ground.

if FM legit trained he'd destroy her. that's not really this argument. we're talking FM/RR tomorrow

One is at probably 7% body fat and other is more around 18%.

Stronger bones, quicker and stronger muscle fibers.....I mean, do we really have to argue about this?

ETA: And I don't think they are the same size.

I think people are assuming floyds training to defend will be good enough to offset the Ronda mma skills.

any fight they scheduled would probably be at least 6 months out, though

I watched a ufc fight last night but I did not realize how much hands and boxing skills are used. Of course when two fighters of equal speed and boxing skills are the same this is when technique, martial arts, and wrestling skills come into play. The speed of FM and RR is not even close to being equal.

Money is 5'8" with a 72 inch reach.

RR is 5'7" with a 68" reach.

FM is much stronger and faster.

I just don't think she can even make it interesting.

He's way faster than she is. She wouldn't be able to catch him

If they fought 2morrow with no preparation, it would be interesting. I think that is about a toss up and really tough to call. Rhonda would have a very good shot to get him down if he has no time to prepare takedown defense. He is still bigger, faster, stronger and a world class athlete in boxing. So, dunno.

i respect BJJ b/c it's been proven time and time again as a physicality equalizer. this probably isn't as extreme of a fight as BJJ has won before

the wrestler destroys both the vast majority of the time (and almost 100% against FM)

HSW wins probably 99/100 v. FM and 65-70/100 v. RR

i'd imagine RR/FM is around 50/50

that's the only way to have a debate. if he got even 2 weeks to prepare takedown defense he'd proper frick her
